Ayurvedic remedy to reduce Bad Cholesterol
Ayurvedic remedy to reduce Bad Cholesterol by using Cinnamon or Arjuna
Traditional Ayurvedic Recipe
Ingredients Required
Arjuna bark
Cinnamon or Arjuna powder
Ginger
A piece of turmeric root
Few Tulsi (Holy Basil) leaves
How to Prepare the Remedy
Crush all the ingredients (Arjuna bark, cinnamon or Arjuna powder, ginger, turmeric root, and Tulsi leaves) in a mortar and pestle.
Add water in a pot, boil it, and let the mixture cook well until it becomes a decoction (Kadha).
How to Consume the Decoction
This Ayurvedic decoction works effectively to reduce bad cholesterol.
You can drink it twice daily — once in the morning and once in the evening.
Replace Tea with Kadha
In Asia, heart diseases are highly genetic, so if you are at risk, you should avoid morning tea.
Instead, drinking this herbal kadha daily can keep your heart healthy and reduce bad cholesterol.
Helps Control Blood Pressure
The modern medicines prescribed to lower cholesterol also bring many side effects.
Regular consumption of this kadha may also help in controlling high blood pressure (BP).
Foods That Increase Good Cholesterol
To increase good cholesterol (HDL), you should consume dry fruits and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, raisins, figs, and dates.
